Updated Custom Content!

Hey there, so I've been dabbling in making Custom Content for some for many years. This week I decided to check everything and make some updates. I'm also adding SimsFileShare to my download hosts so if you don't want to go through ModTheSims you don't have to. Likely I'll be uploading mostly through SimFileShare in the future as the upload process on ModTheSims is getting rather complicated. So far I've gotton most of my Sims 2 stuff done. You can click here to check out my Sims 2 CC page. You can also get through from the "Custom Content" list at the tope of this blog. I'll also be making proper post for each upload as I get through everything. The posts made for each item will be linked in the custom content page as well.

• Become an author... without a computer by ModHughson. This is a notebook that allows sims to write books without a computer. You can download the main mod here, and the optional recolors here.(There are 50 recolors, great for medieval or theme players.

Everybody has at least a few (often many) favorite mods when it

comes to sims games. This is my list of favorites for the classic title, The Sims 2. As I continue to play and poke around the vast ocean of custom content hanging around the internet I'll continue to update this article. Also, when I complete my tutorial for installing custom content for the Sims 2 I'll link it here so you can look at that if you need any help. Anyhow, onto the mods! This list isn't in any particular order just so you know, I will catagorize it though. I will make additional posts for clothes, objects, walls & floors, etc. They will be indexed on their own post which will be linked here.

Game Fixes

• Sim Shadow Fix by simNopke. This mod fixes the shadow issue prevalent in the Sims 2 Ultimate Collection where they appear as opaque black squares at the sims feets. ➤ Download Here.
  
  
• Mannequin Babies Can Be Born by bloodredtoe. If you've ever used the mannequin skin through cheats in The Sims 2 you've likely found out that they CANNOT have babies and if they try the game crashes when they give birth. This is because this skintone was made only for the Bodyshop and so doesn't have a baby version. This mod fixes it so you can have paper white babies to your heart's content. ➤ Download Here.
  
  
• Better Bubbles by eddysims. This mod replaces the speech and thought bubbles with a higher-resoluton version. ➤ Download Here.
  
  
• Widescreen CAS Camera Fix by Lena. This widens the case screen from the 4:3. ➤ Download Here.
  
  
• Widescreen CAS UI Fix by steven-lives. This makes the CAS UI wider and thus not cover half of your sim's face while you're trying to change things. ➤ Download Here. (Click the "DOWNLOAD" link on the bottom of the post. Also, the file has a 300 and a 500 pixel version. My screen resolution is 1920x1080 and I use the 500 pixel version. It's called "Cas500".)
  
  
• TS2: Base Game Startup Pack by eddysims. This upgrades the loading and neighborhood screens for widescreen monitors. ➤ Download Here.
  
  
• Sims2RPC by LazyDuchess. This mod is an utility program that adds some graphics options, allows easier switching between windowed and fullscreen modes, as well as adds optional discord intergration and the mandatory 4GB patch. You get 2 new game icon on your desktop, one to open the settings panel and one to start the game with all the newly applied settings. ➤ Download Here.
  
  
• OPTIONAL - Aging Mods by simler90. This is a selection of mods that fix some minor bugs with aging up and different relating features. ➤ Download Here.
  
  
• OPTIONAL - Aging Hacks by simlogical. These stop automatic aging for sims unless you age them up manually. I like it because you can do everything you want with a sim without racing against the clock. Note: If you download the no auto aging mod (which is the second in the list), you'll need the heirloom birthday cake mod (first in the list) to age sims up. If you do this, it's suggested to get the iJArbitraryGradeSuppressionFix to avoid any issues with school age sims, its the 4th link under NO AGING PATCH. ➤ Download Here.
  
  
• OPTIONAL - Custom Computer Screens (Default Replacements) by eddysims. This makes the screens on the computers more modern and higher resolution. (Recommended to use this with the next mod in this catagory). ➤ Download Here.
  
  
• OPTIONAL - Lighten Up! by NixNivis. This mod makes the computer screens brighter in the game. Without the mod they are dark and almost impossible to see. This works well with the previous mod. ➤ Download Here.
  
  
• Seasons Icons In Color by DanTheMann15. This mod replaces the monochromatic seasons icons on the live-mode UI with colored ones. This is aesthetically nice but also very handy if you have vision issues. ➤ Download Here.

Function Mods

• Ghost Busters/Grimmy Be Gone by BoilingOil. This mod has 2 varieties. One just stops ghosts from appearing in your game. The second stops ghosts from appearing but also prevents the grim reaper from appearing and a tombstone instantly appears on the lot. Great for the feint of heart and the Christian gamers alike. ➤ Download Here.
  
  
• Nightlife Coffin Hider by Christian Builder. This mod simply hides the coffin (the one vampires sleep in) from the buy mode catalog. ➤ Download Here.
  
  
• NoMoreWitch by Squinge. This mod prevents the witch NPC from appearing. ➤ Download Here.
  
  
• NoChanceOfPlantSim by jfade. This mod prevents your sim turning into a plant sims from spraying too many bug infested plants. (I don't personally use this, I just included it as it is in the same niche as the previous mods.) ➤ Download Here. (It's the 6'th entry down on this page.)
  
  
• PregnancyWearAnyOutfit by Squinge. (For this work properly you'll need custom clothes with a pregnancy morph. If they don't have a morph your sim won't look pregnant.) This mod allows sims to wear custom maternity clothes and also change their outfit while pregnant. ➤ Download Here.
  
  
• Plantsims can turn other sims into plantsims by [Black Spirit]. This mod has several varieties but it makes the "Pollen Prank" social interaction from Plantsims either always turn the victim into a Plantsim or only when they're tired. ➤ Download Here.
  
  
• Religious Books for all major world religions, New Pie Menus by joninmobile. This replaces the "Romance" book in bookshelves with the religious books of your choice. You can only pick one and for me it's the Bible. ➤ Download Here.
  
  
• CEP by Color Enable Package by Numenor. This is a utility that installs a mod that adds recolor options for numerous objects. ➤ Download Here. There are also several add-on mods (On ModTheSims.info Search CEP Extra for Sims 2... or click this link that will take you to the search page. )
